“I know how it feels to lose someone dear to you.
The need to encapsulate the essence of this person is challenging,
yet at the same time, very rewarding.”
She is able to guide you through the planning of this ceremony and has many resources to assist you with appropriate readings and poems.

she is able to “be your voice.”
The term “housewarming” is descended literally from the act of warming a new house, in the days before central heating. Each guest would bring firewood and build fires in the available fireplaces, offering firewood as a gift. Aside from warming the house, this was also believed to repel evil spirits by creating a protective atmosphere of warmth.
Nowadays a housewarming ceremony fulfils a similar function in that it says to your guests “this is our new home – welcome, you belong here anytime.”
Some people prefer a House Blessing, which can have some religious or cultural content. This can be incorporated in your Housewarming, or a separate ceremony.
I wrote my first Housewarming ceremony for Waimahu our Bed and Breakfast,
which is nearly complete. This ceremony will be a housewarming, blessing
and product launch for our BnB and Event Venue. I look forward to the day
that this planning can become reality!!
